Robert Wurth - Creative Director
Robert started his official career when he was offered a job as a production
artist for the Lincoln Journal Star newspaper following his graduation
from design school. But his introduction to this business really began
long before that when he spent his summers working for a family-owned
print shop. Although just a "kid," Robert took every
opportunity to learn about the printing process and to assist with the
design and layout of projects.
Following his time with the Journal Star newspaper, Robert accepted a couple
of different positions that each offered their own unique creative challenges,
including the design of the Key to the City of Lincoln, Nebraska and
the official game coins for the 1995 Final Big 8 Conference college football
game and the 1996 Tostitos'® Fiesta Bowl College Football National Championship.
In 2000, a series of freelance projects for MindVision Software, a leading
maker of installation applications for both Macintosh and Windows, resulted
in an offer to become their full-time designer. While working with MindVision,
Robert developed a new logo for their flagship product, Installer VISE,
as well as assisted with the creation of new branding for their e-commerce
system, eSellerate. Robert also was responsible for creative direction
and production of the company's trade show booths, including their showing
at MacWorld San Francisco 2001.
More recently, Robert assisted with the development of a new corporate
identity for a software development company, including input in the creation
of new logos for their primary software applications, development of
corporate branding guidelines, production of the corporate web site,
as well as overseeing and implementing the design of the majority of the
company's print and web materials.
In addition, Robert has instructed seminars in the use of Adobe and Macromedia
design software.
Angela D. Mittan - Marketing Director
Angela's interest and experience with graphic design, marketing, and advertising
started early. Even in high school, she was active in the Student Art Association
and participated in numerous local art showings and competitions. Her work
has achieved many awards, including Best of Show. Angela has, over the years,
had the opportunity to develop designs for a car racing team, a high school,
a horse ranch, a church, and a fishing lure company, among others.
Following high school, Angela graduated Summa Cum Laude with
a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwest Missouri State University.
As an undergraduate student, Angela successfully completed art courses,
including a drawing class in which the focus was on both still-life compositions,
as well as human subjects. Additionally, as an undergraduate research
project, Angela wrote content for and designed the graphic layout of
a brochure for the Geo-Sciences Department. The brochure detailed employment
opportunities in earth science fields, and has been distributed by the
department to current and future students for more than 5 years. Angela
was also fortunate to intern for the Northwest Missouri Regional Council
of Governments, where she helped with the design and layout of web pages,
as well as assisted with grant writing projects.
After college, Angela began working at the University of Nebraska in
Lincoln (UNL). Her duties included creating and maintaining text and
graphics for web pages illustrating on-farm research projects. Angela
also coordinated the marketing of a major extension project. She was
responsible for the design, organization, and distribution of a software
and instructional documentation CD for farmers.
During her 3+ years of employment at UNL, Angela earned a Master's degree
in Business, specializing her graduate program in Marketing, Advertising,
and Communication Studies. In April 2003, Angela left employment at UNL
to pursue a marketing and advertising position with a software development
company in Lincoln. As their Marketing Associate, Angela's duties have
included generating ideas for entering new markets, improving the company's
sales lead acquisition processes, and tracking and reporting prospective
customer activity. Angela also worked closely with the company's advertising
agency to ensure that advertisements were designed correctly and met
technical specifications and submission deadlines.
Angela has been a member of many organizations, including Beta Gamma
Sigma Business Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma and Alpha Chi Academic Honor
Societies, and Gamma Theta Upsilon Geographic Honor Society. |
